The fifth BalkanSpa Summit was organized by the Slovenian Spa Association and its managing director, Iztok Altbauer.
At this Summit, the work on the formation of the BalkanSpa Institute continued and the further directions of the organization of the BalkanSpa Summit were determined. Since the Summit was organized in all five countries – members of the Organizing Committee, the implementation of the next one had to be moved to another Balkan country. Since this process was assessed as very sensitive and complex for the organization, it was decided that the decision on the next country – the host of the Summit – would be made on the basis of the most favorable candidacy.
